Who We Are

The Mines Capstone Design program provides a way for Mines students to work with the community and industry to solve engineering projects with creativity and ingenuity. Each semester, Mines students go beyond the textbook to solve open-ended, experiential design problems sponsored by industry, community, non-profit, government and organizations. We support students with both Cornerstone and Capstone projects. 

Capstone projects are completed over two semesters allowing greater depth and longer-term engagement with the client.  Small teams of 3-6 students in their senior year will work on complicated, multi-faceted projects that require thorough analysis and design work. Projects include a multi-disciplinary teams that include, but are not limited to, the following: civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical and design engineering. 

What We Do
