Volunteer: CSM 250 Mock Interview Night Spring 2026

CSM 250: Engineering Your Career Path is a 1-credit course open to undergraduate students designed to help them with career exploration, career planning and job search.

An important assignment in the course is requiring each student to complete a practice interview - students consistently share this is one of the most helpful experiences they gain from the class.

We are seeking alumni to assist in facilitating these mock interviews, in-person and virtually. We will provide volunteers training in advance as well as a clear interview guide. All you need to do is show up and be ready to chat with students!

Event Details: The event takes place on Monday, March 16th with interviews happening from 5:30-7pm. We are asking volunteers to commit their time from 5-7:30pm to offer buffer time, but if you cannot attend the full event we still encourage you to sign up.

This is a drop-in event for students. We do not required students to register in advance and take students on a first come, first serve basis. You will be meet with students representing a variety of degree levels and majors. Since the interviews are general, you do not need to know about the student's major or career path or conduct the interview.

To expand our reach, we are offering this event simultaneously in-person and virtually, though the event will run the same for both formats. Please make sure to select your preferred attendance method.
