The tradition continues and now all May 2026 graduating students are eligible to receive their Mines Hat. It is a hat for the new generation, and Mines is looking for alumni volunteers to come to campus to brand and distribute these hats to students and to celebrate this momentous occasion with them.
Hat branding and distribution takes place on Thursday, May 7 from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Shifts provide enough time to properly train in hat branding. There will be a lot of energy and excitement on campus, and alumni are encouraged to come take part in this joyous day.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the morning and noon shifts, and plenty of snacks and drinks will be available throughout. Alumni can also brand their hat during this day.
