Who We Are
The Vallejo-Irvine Program for Professional Development (VIP) at Mines helps students build essential workplace skills, such as public speaking, networking, and goal-setting, through innovative programming, internships, and hands-on experiences to enhance their career readiness and setting Mines graduates apart in the job market.
What We Do
VIP provides a variety of programs designed to engage members of the Mines community in professional development. Our offerings include signature events such as the VIP Etiquette Dinner and Professional Development Symposium, as well as guest lectures, workshops, and online resources. Our programming aligns to six career readiness competencies: communication, team collaboration, career self-management, professionalism, equity and inclusion, and successful thinking.
