The tradition continues and now all May 2025 graduating students are eligible to receive their Mines Hat. It is a hat for the new generation that hearkens to memories of the Senior Stetson.
Mines is looking for alumni volunteers to come to campus to brand and distribute these hats to students and to celebrate this momentous occasion with them. No experience is needed - you will be trained! Just come with your Oredigger spirit and willingness to support students as they head into graduation.
Hat branding and distribution takes place on Thursday, May 1 from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Shifts provide enough time to properly train in hat branding. There will be a lot of energy and excitement on campus, and alumni are encouraged to come take part in this joyous day.
Mines alumni volunteers will receive a Mines long sleeve tee as a thank you for your time! Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the morning and noon shifts, and plenty of snacks and drinks will be available throughout. Alumni can also brand their hat during this day.
