Convocation marks the official welcome to campus for all new students and families. This year, Convocation takes place on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, and we are looking for Mines Alumni volunteers to help! Be a part of the first experience the new class has on campus by registering to help with the Student Line-Up and & Seating for both Convocation ceremonies.
In this role, you will assist Mines faculty and staff in organizing the student line-up on Stratton Commons and the processional into Lockridge Arena. Come with your Oredigger pride and be ready to talk with excited students.
Volunteers only need to stay until the start of the ceremony, but are welcome to stay through the ceremony. All volunteers will receive a Mines T-shirt and bucket hat as a thank you for your time.
Volunteers should wear the provided Mines T-shirt or come wearing a Mines-branded shirt. This helps volunteers stand out.
