The Colorado School of Mines is excited to welcome first-year and transfer students to campus on August 10th and 11th when they move into the residence halls. Mines Residence Life is looking for volunteers to support this fall's move-ins by working the residence hall elevators, providing directions around campus, and cheerfully welcoming new students and families to campus!
These are active volunteer shifts where you will spend time on your feet, indoors and outdoors, and talking with plenty of new students and their families. These shifts do not require or expect you to move or lift items, as you will primarily be a Mines ambassador and way-finder. Come decked out in your best Mines gear to show off your Oredigger pride and be ready to answer a variety of questions!
Volunteers will report to the Elm Hall Patio where a volunteer check-in tent will be situated and staffed by Residence Life staff who will provide further shift details. All volunteers will receive a Mines t-shirt and either breakfast or lunch. The morning shift will receive breakfast and the afternoon shift will receive lunch at check-in.
